Why monitor carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide is a highly toxic, colorless, tasteless and odorless gas that human senses cannot detect. It is produced during incomplete combustion of fuels, for example wood, coal, oil, kerosene, propane or natural gas, wherever oxygen is lacking. Possible sources of CO include wood stoves and fireplaces, gas stoves and boilers, oil or coal stoves, and enclosed garages.
Acoustic and visual warning
The set warns on multiple levels: with an acoustic signal of more than 85 dB and visual signaling using LED lights on the front panel. The LEDs display not only the alarm state but also other functions and device statuses.

Usage and installation
The set is suitable wherever fuel is burned or where gas appliances are present, for example near a boiler, fireplace, stove or in an enclosed garage. The detector is intended for use indoors only. After turning on, the sensor needs 180 seconds for initialization. The valve is connected via a 3/4" internal thread, so its installation into the gas pipe should be entrusted to a professional.
