The PNI SafePC E650VA is a backup power supply that gives you enough time during a power cut to calmly save your work and shut down the computer. It suits a home or office computer, laptop, monitor, router or smaller electronics. The output is 650 VA (390 W) and a 12 V / 7 Ah lead-acid battery is already in the package, so you do not have to buy one separately.
The unit has an AVR function: when the mains voltage is lower or higher, it adjusts it to a value within the 195–245 V range, so connected devices do not have to switch to battery right away. On normal mains it supplies a pure sine wave; it switches to battery within 8 to 10 ms and in this mode it outputs a simulated sine wave.
On the front there is an LCD display showing the device status, battery charge and warnings. The UPS also alerts you by sound and by indicators to low battery capacity, switchover to battery and overload. It is compact (295 × 135 × 90 mm) and at 4.6 kg it fits under a desk.
What it is suitable for and what it is not
It is intended for small and medium-sized office equipment. Do not use it for pumps, motors, laser printers or other inductive devices – a different type of power supply is needed for those. The approximate backup time at half load is about 8 minutes, and charging the battery takes about 8 hours.

Frequently asked questions
Can a boiler pump be connected to the UPS?
The manufacturer does not recommend this model for pumps, motors or inductive loads. To back up a boiler, choose a UPS with a pure sine wave on battery instead, for example from the backup power supply section.
Is the battery included in the price?
Yes, the 12 V / 7 Ah lead-acid battery is part of the package.
How long will the UPS last?
About 8 minutes at half load, longer at a lower load.
How many devices can I connect?
