The PNI SmartHome WP850 is a smart socket that you build into the wall in place of an ordinary one. It looks like a regular white Schuko socket, but you can switch the connected appliance on or off from your phone wherever you are.
The socket connects to your home Wi-Fi network on the 2.4 GHz band. In the Smart Life app you set a timer, you can share the device with other members of the household, and you can link it with the Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice assistants, so you can also control appliances by voice.
The socket withstands 16 A, i.e. a load of up to 3600 W, and is protected against overload. The operating temperature is from -15 to +80 °C. The unit measures 86 × 86 mm with a depth of 40 mm and weighs about 106 g.
Installation
The socket is installed in an installation box and connected to the L, N and PE conductors. Connection to the mains should be carried out by a licensed electrician.
