The PNI SV100 is a simple kit that helps limit damage after a water leak. It consists of a water leak sensor, a water solenoid valve with a DN20 (3/4 inch) connection and a power supply. When the sensor detects water, the valve shuts off the water supply to the system.

The valve takes about 5 seconds to close and to open, withstands pressure up to 1.0 MPa (10 bar) and works manually or automatically. It runs on 5 V DC / 1 A, so it uses little energy; the pack includes a power supply for a 100–240 V AC mains outlet.

The valve has an IP65 rating, so it is protected against dust and splashing water. It suits, for example, a basement, a garage, a utility room or the space behind a washing machine or dishwasher.

Installation and compatibility

The valve is fitted on a DN20 (3/4") threaded water pipe. Place the sensor where water would collect in the event of a leak, ideally on the floor next to an appliance. The valve measures 95 × 63 × 67 mm. We recommend having it installed in the water pipe by a plumber.

The kit limits the consequences of a leak; it does not replace regular checks of the condition of pipes and appliances.
