The PNI SVM-10K is a single-phase servo-motor voltage stabiliser with a power of 10 kVA (8000 W). It is intended wherever a stable 230 V needs to be maintained for a larger number of appliances – a family house, workshop, farm or small industrial site. If the voltage in the mains changes, the stabiliser automatically adjusts it as close as possible to the set value.
Regulation is continuous: a circuit measures the input voltage and sends a signal to the servo motor, which sets the position of the carbon brush. The output therefore stays constant and the sine waveform is not distorted. Efficiency is at least 96 %.
There are two displays on the front panel showing the input and output voltage. The protections include an automatic circuit breaker for overload, short circuit and overheating, mechanical error indication, start-up delay, and protection at an output overvoltage of 250 V or undervoltage of 183 V.
Installation and operation
The stabiliser is connected through a terminal block on the rear, so it should be connected by a person with electrical qualification. The dimensions are 410 × 240 × 370 mm and the weight with packaging is about 29 kg, so plan for help when handling it. It is used at temperatures from −10 to +45 °C and humidity of at most 95 % without condensation.
