PPSU Press Adapter IVAR.PZ PPSU 20 x 1/2" M with external thread for ALPEX pipe
Code: 82820762Product detailed description
The transition fitting IVAR.PZ PPSU 20 x 1/2" M (code 82820762) has a crimping end for 20x2 tubes on one side and an external thread of 1/2" on the other. It is used to connect ALPEX, TURATEC or PEX pipe to fittings with an internal thread, for example to ball valves or corner valves.
Features
- body made of PPSU plastic, crimping sleeve made of AISI 304 stainless steel, EPDM O-ring, locking ring made of polycarbonate
- maximum operating pressure PN 10, temperature range +3 to +95 °C
- hygienic certificate for drinking water
- construction length 59 mm, weight 20 g
- radial crimping with jaws of contour B or F (also TH according to instructions)
Installation
When tightening the threaded fitting, hold the body of the transition fitting to prevent rotation, otherwise the pipe in the crimped joint may turn. For sealing the thread, IVAR instructions recommend Teflon tape or thread; when using approved compound with hemp, leave the thread peaks visible and avoid excessive torque. An uncrimped joint during pressure testing in the range of 1 to 6.5 bar will leak, thus it will be revealed before covering.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 20 x 1/2" M transition used for?
It connects an ALPEX, TURATEC or PEX pipe with a diameter of 20 mm to a fitting with an internal thread of 1/2", for example to a ball valve or corner valve.
What to use for sealing the thread?
IVAR instructions recommend Teflon thread tape or Teflon thread. When using approved compound with hemp, the thread peaks must remain visible – too much hemp or excessive torque can damage the fitting.
What to pay attention to when tightening the fitting?
When tightening the threaded fitting, the body of the transition must be held to prevent rotation, otherwise the pipe in the crimped joint may turn.
With which jaws is the transition crimped?
Radially, with jaws of contour B or F for a diameter of 20 mm; the instructions also allow contour TH. Calibrate and clean the pipe before sliding it on and check its position in the inspection areas of the locking ring.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
