Low-temperature heating body Compact Softline is made of fine cold-rolled steel sheet to EN442-1 quality, with side panels and a top grille, forming a compact unit with a vertical water channel spacing of 33.3 mm. The convector plate is welded to the internal channels. Before painting, all radiators undergo a multi-stage cleaning process, including iron phosphating and a demineralised rinse. A primer coat is then applied, followed by a powder coat finish in Stelrad 9016 white. Each radiator is packed in cardboard with robust corner protectors and protective film. All units come with mounting brackets on the rear side. Quality assurance is certified to EN ISO 9001. Thermal output is verified to EN 442. Design complies with BAGUV safety guidelines.
Frequently asked questions
- What output does this specific radiator (400 x 1800 mm, type 21K) have? This size and type has a declared thermal output of 1717 W (according to EN 442, at the standard temperature difference) - when choosing the correct radiator size, base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the room in question.
- What does the type designation 21K mean? The number before "K" (e.g. 11, 20, 21, 22, 33) indicates the radiator's construction type - the number of radiator panels/plates and convector fins it contains; a higher number means more layers and therefore higher output at the same external dimensions. A radiator without the letter "V" in its type has a side connection - the classic placement of connections on the sides of the radiator, suitable for standard side pipe routing.
- What is the maximum operating pressure and temperature? The radiator is designed for an operating pressure of up to 1.0 MPa and a heating water temperature of up to 110°C, with a test pressure of 1.3 MPa - typical domestic heating systems operate well below these values.
- What is the warranty on the radiator? The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty on tightness and thermal output from the date of manufacture, provided professional installation, correct maintenance and operation are observed - the warranty does not cover mechanical damage caused during transport, handling or improper installation.
- Must installation be carried out by a professional? Yes, connecting the radiator to the heating system (single-pipe or two-pipe, with forced circulation) should be carried out by a heating engineer/installer, who will also ensure correct venting and balancing of the circuit.

About the company
Stelrad Radiator Group (SRG - also known as Caradon) with headquarters in the United Kingdom is one of the largest manufacturers in the installation industry in Europe. It includes the Stelrad radiator factories in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, decorative radiators in Belgium, and Termo Teknik radiators in Turkey.
The Stelrad radiator factory was established in 1925. In 1939, the production of stoves, oil radiators and electric radiators began. The dynamic development of the market led to the expansion of the main factory in 1960. In 1970, a new warehouse and administrative building was opened. The factory was acquired by the Stelrad group, which belongs to the Metal Box group, in 1980, and then by the Caradon PLC group in 1989. In 1993, the production lines were modernized with the commissioning of a new paint shop and two fast production lines, and in 1997, a modern production process TPM was introduced. Today, the factory is among the world leaders in the production of steel panel radiators belonging to the Stelrad Radiator Group.
The most modern radiator manufacturing methods of Stelrad and careful controls according to strict ISO 9001 standards ensure that their highest efficiency and durability are maintained at a constant level. The favorable price per watt of efficiency of Stelrad radiators reduces investment costs. The optimal ratio of radiant and convective heating helps to increase comfort in rooms. Elegant and solid Stelrad elements with a classic and timeless line fit perfectly into any interior. Thanks to the use of Monclac type mounting consoles, it is possible to precisely adjust the radiator connection, which leads to an aesthetic and discreet appearance. Stelrad radiators are characterized by a variety of dimensions - height, depth and length. For the same heating power required for a given room, we can choose radiators: low or high, narrow or wide. The unique Planar and Vertex series were prepared for customers with special requirements. In this way, the radiator becomes an element of a modern interior.
Safety and warranty
The surface treatment of the radiator consists of degreasing, iron phosphating, passivation, rinsing and filling. Then the radiators are covered with a layer of special powder and fired. The surface treatment consists of high-quality electrostatic powder coating. This ensures perfect maintenance of the radiator's appearance for many years of operation and allows for trouble-free maintenance of its cleanliness without reducing durability.
STYLISTIC FORM FULL OF HEAT
The basic idea of Stelrad when designing radiators is that they should be an element of interior design, so great emphasis is placed on appearance, aesthetics and quality, which makes Stelrad "Europe's favourite radiator" - "the favorite radiator in Europe".
There are many types of radiators on the market today, but the most popular are panel radiators, which allow maintaining an optimal compromise between aesthetics and design efficiency. They allow you to quickly heat a room and are available in a very wide range of sizes. The Stelrad factory produces both classic models Compact and Novello, as well as for customers looking for more modern design forms. A heating body that not only heats but is also an aesthetic complement is a prerequisite for successful interior design. The variety of sizes and colors means that when designing a heating system, we do not have to sacrifice our original appearance. Against the background of classic models, the designer radiators Planar and Planar Style stand out with a smooth decorative front panel. An interesting design and unusual shape make them an unusual decorative element in every household.
The Planar models are complemented by the Vertex Plan and Style series - vertical radiators that fit perfectly into rooms with large glazing, where there is very little space for radiators. Thanks to the optimal ratio of radiant and convective heating, Stelrad radiators provide comfortable temperature distribution in rooms. The selection of Stelrad radiators is the result of a favorable price per unit of heating power, high efficiency and durability of radiators and long-term warranty.
Stelrad radiators work perfectly with all installation systems, traditional steel and copper, multi-layer pipes or PVC.
Special renovation models Reno Compact are also available, which serve as a replacement for cast iron radiators.
