Part DC0091 closes the four-piece ball chamber from the rear and can also be purchased individually, without the side panels. Depending on the boiler design, it belongs in the lower or the middle chamber.

• How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base it on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but with wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours on a single load at essentially constant output - which is why it is common practice to add an accumulation tank to the boiler, which stores the excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be throttled down inefficiently.
• What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system usually requires: an accumulation (buffer) tank of suitable volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or a thermostatic valve protecting the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught matching the boiler output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
• Which fuel is suitable and which is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually log wood of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits, and may damage the boiler.
• What about the chimney inspection and legislation? Before the boiler is put into operation, and also regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorised chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may be disputed.
• How much maintenance does the boiler require? It usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of the heat exchange surfaces/flue gas passages from soot (the interval depends on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and a thorough inspection once a year, including the seals and the chimney.
• Can I install the boiler myself? The positioning of the boiler and its connection to the heating system, the chimney and the safety components should be carried out, or at least checked, by a qualified heating technician - this is an appliance with an open fire, high temperatures and pressure components, where an error in connection can pose a safety risk.
