IVAR.IVN412 76.1-54 mm one-side slip-on reducer, stainless steel AISI 304
Code: IVN412.7654Product detailed description
The reduction IVAR.IVN412 76,1-54 mm made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301) is a press-fit system fitting, which allows a transition from the dimension 76,1 mm to 54 mm in one step. The smooth push-in end with a diameter of 76,1 mm is inserted into the press-fit socket of another fitting of the same size, while the opposite side has a press-fit socket with an EPDM O-ring for the 54 mm pipe. The total length of the reduction is 142 mm.
For which types of systems is it suitable
- closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems
- technical and operational liquids, industrial applications
- compressed air, vacuum systems, inert and technical gases
- drainage of waste and rainwater
The reduction is not suitable for potable water – this is also indicated by the symbol in the fitting designation.
Operating limits
- pressure up to PN 16, vacuum down to -0,8 bar (absolute pressure 0,2 bar)
- operating temperature from -20 °C to +120 °C
- anti-freeze mixture with a maximum concentration of 50 %
Installation and inspection of the press-fit
The 54 mm socket is equipped with an LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring with a segmented profile – an unpressed joint will leak during pressure testing and thus cannot be overlooked. Additionally, there is an orange stripe on the socket, which will tear during pressing and can be removed by hand.
Both joints – the 54 mm socket and the push-in end of 76,1 mm in the connecting fitting – are pressed using chain jaws with profile M and at least 3 segments. Insert the pipe all the way to the stop and mark its position with a marker. The O-ring may only be moistened with water, never with oil or grease, and each joint is pressed only once.
For large diameters of 76,1 to 108 mm, the manufacturer recommends fixing the pipes and fittings with mounting clamps before pressing to ensure the joint remains precisely aligned.
Warning: Pressed joints must be made by a qualified person according to the IVAR.PRESS FITTING SYSTEM instructions. Before starting the heating system, the manufacturer recommends flushing the entire system.

Frequently asked questions
Can the IVAR.IVN412 reduction be used for potable water?
No, fittings made of AISI 304 steel in this series are not suitable for potable water. They can be used, for example, in closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems, or for compressed air.
How is the 76,1-54 mm reduction connected?
The 54 mm pipe is inserted into the press-fit socket of the reduction and pressed. The smooth 76,1 mm end is inserted into the press-fit socket of another 76,1 mm fitting and pressed together with it.
Which press-fit jaws are needed?
Both joints – the 54 mm socket and the push-in end of 76,1 mm in the connecting fitting – are pressed using chain jaws with profile M and at least 3 segments. Jaws with profile V must not be used with this system.
How can I recognize an unpressed joint?
The 54 mm socket has an LBP O-ring, which will leak fluid during pressure testing if the joint is not pressed. An unpressed socket is also indicated by an intact orange stripe.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
