Release Key, Installation Tool 28 mm
Code: HX79/28Product detailed description
An auxiliary working tool for later disassembling the fitting from the pipe, if needed.
The inner surface of the tool rests against the neck of the HEPWORTH fitting, opening the jaws and allowing the pipe to be pulled out of the fitting.
Demountable straight-type fittings. Used to join polybutylene pipe and copper pipe. Can be used for radiator heating, drinking water, and underfloor heating. The internal jaws grip the pipe and prevent it from being pulled out. To disassemble, simply unlock the fitting with the special tool and remove the pipe.
 | The most important facts about the HEPWORTH system that you should know before self-installation. | ||
 | A fully demountable system. | ||
| This means you can assemble the system, take it apart later, and put it back together again. This is useful if you are not completely sure about the heating installation. | |||
| Installation without any tools. | ||
One of the system's biggest advantages is tool-free installation. This means the pipe is simply pushed into the fitting, and the internal jaw mechanism secures it in place. To disassemble, you just unscrew the fitting, slide the jaws off the pipe, then reassemble and tighten the fitting, and it is ready for use again. | |||
| Universal use for all types of heating. | ||
| All fittings, tees, elbows and pipes are made of polybutylene, meaning you can use it for radiator heating installations, underfloor heating, or domestic hot water (DHW) distribution. All diameters are backward compatible. | |||
| Pipe made of polybutylene. | ||
| Polybutylene - the oldest and still best-proven material for heating and water distribution. | |||
| Pipes with an oxygen barrier | ||
| All pipes are made with an EVOH oxygen barrier, which prevents oxygen molecules from penetrating the heating system. Over the years, oxygen causes boiler corrosion and degradation of the heating system. The oxygen barrier prevents this problem. | |||
| Polybutylene is one of the most hygienic materials | ||
| In terms of hygiene, polybutylene achieves the best results. |
Frequently asked questions
- How do I check that this part fits my HEPWORTH pipe? Compare the size (pipe diameter in mm or inch thread) stated in this product's name with the diameter of your pipe - the HEPWORTH system uses its own precisely defined size ranges.
- Must the installation be carried out by a professional? Clips, anchors and wall plates are common installation accessories intended for DIY installation as well; however, we recommend having the connection of the pipework into a functional heating or water system checked by a professional.

Underfloor Heating Pipe
Wavin Hep2O has a range of underfloor heating systems for new and existing floors and offers high quality, proven products that are widely available from plumbers and builders merchants nationwide. Underfloor heating systems consist of a series of pipework that is connected underneath the floor that is linked to the heating system. This allows heated water to pass underneath the floor, and the space above is more evenly heated than with other traditional forms of heating.
