The DAB S4 3/13 MTS KIT 4OL kit (code CS4C13MTS) combines the S4 3/13 submersible centrifugal pump with a single-phase oil-filled 4OL motor and the accessories needed for automatic operation. It is designed for pumping clean water from drilled wells and boreholes larger than 4" in diameter and for supplying buildings with water; S4 pumps are also used for pressurising distribution networks, irrigation or washing systems.

Pump and motor
The S4 hydraulics have 13 stages with a nominal flow of 3 m³/h: head is 72 m at zero flow, 50 m at 3 m³/h and 29 m at 4.2 m³/h. Impellers and diffusers are made of technopolymer; suction rings, outer casing, shaft, coupling, suction strainer and cable guard are stainless steel, and the suction and delivery bodies are precision-cast AISI 304 steel; the non-return valve is built in. The 4OL motor is a two-pole asynchronous motor with water-contact parts in AISI 304L; its bearings are cooled and lubricated by a special food-grade fluid and the shaft is sealed by a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal.
Operating conditions
The water must be clean and free of abrasive and solid matter, with a sand content of up to 150 g/m³ and a temperature of 0 to +40 °C. Maximum immersion with the 4OL motor is 250 m and the pump may start no more than 20 times per hour; protection rating IP 68, insulation class F. The outlet has a G 1 1/4" thread. The pump is installed vertically; for horizontal installation the manufacturer recommends a cooling jacket. Where the outlet pressure is high, fitting a pressure-reducing valve is recommended. The electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
