Shelly H&T Gen3 is a small temperature and humidity sensor in a white design that will show you the actual climate in the room and send the same data to your mobile phone. It is worth using everywhere you want to have an overview of heating in individual rooms: in the bedroom, in the children's room, in the bathroom, or in a cooler room where humidity lingers and mold may develop.
The values are displayed on an e-paper display with very low power consumption and easy to read even from the side or in low light. In addition to temperature and humidity, it also shows the time, battery status, and signal strength.
The sensor communicates via Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, no central unit is needed for it. The initial setup is made easier by Bluetooth 4.2. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings, advanced users can use MQTT and webhooks.
Using webhooks, the sensor can send a command to another Shelly device, for example a relay, to turn on electric heating or a fan when the set temperature or humidity is exceeded.
Power supply and installation
- Four AA (LR6) 1.5 V batteries last approximately 1 year, the duration depends on the batteries, temperature changes, and signal strength. Batteries are not included in the package.
- Permanent power supply via USB-C (adapter and cable are not included in the package). The battery port is not chargeable.
- Place it on a horizontal surface with a stand or attach it to the wall with screws or double-sided foam tape.

Can the sensor control the boiler itself?
No, it does not have an output for switching. The boiler is controlled via another device, for example a Shelly relay, which receives a command via a webhook.
Do I need a gateway or hub for it?
No, a home Wi-Fi network is sufficient.

No, it is intended for indoor use with a temperature from 0 to 40 °C and humidity of 30 to 70 % RH.
