Frequently Asked Questions
- How exactly does a manual (simple) thermostat work? It measures the temperature at its installation location and, when it drops below the set value, closes a contact that activates the heat source (boiler, pump, heating unit) - once the set temperature is reached, the contact opens again. Unlike programmable thermostats, it has no weekly or daily program; the temperature is set manually using a rotary or slide control.
- Where should the thermostat be placed? In a location that best represents the typical room temperature - away from direct sunlight, drafts, radiators, or other heat/cold sources that could distort the reading.
- Must installation be carried out by an electrician? Connecting the thermostat to the electrical circuit of the heat source should be done by a person with electrical qualifications, as it involves working on the electrical installation and load switching.

Dobrý den, chtěl bych tento termostat Siemens RDE 100.1 DHW nahradit chytrou variantou, která by měla stejné parametry (regulace teploty a regulace přípravy teplé vody) a umožňovala jak manuální nastavení z termostatu, tak i přes mobilní aplikaci. Existuje nějaká taková varianta? Děkuji. S pozdravem, Josef
