Assembly and Performance

IVAR.XREVO-18D is an inverter air conditioner of type DUAL from the Italian manufacturer EMMETI, in which two wall-mounted indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit X-REVO-1824DE with a rotary compressor: X-REVO-0924W with a cooling capacity of 2.60 kW and X-REVO-1224W with a capacity of 3.10 kW. The total nominal cooling capacity of 4.9 kW is continuously variable by the inverter in the range of 1.40–6.20 kW. When heating, it operates as an air-to-air heat pump – at an outdoor temperature of -10 °C, it delivers 5.0 kW of heat, at 7 °C it delivers 5.90 kW (1.50–6.60 kW).

Equipment and Control

Commands are given via an infrared remote control: cooling COOL, heating HEAT, dehumidification DRY, ventilation FAN and automatic mode SMART, desired temperature 16–30 °C. Further available functions include SUPER for rapid cooling or heating, quiet mode QUIET, economy mode ECONOMY, night mode SLEEP, timer TIMER, I FEEL with a temperature sensor in the remote control, maintaining 8 °C during heating, cleaning mode CLEAN and automatic restart with the original settings after a power failure. For control via the ConnectLife app from a phone, a separate WiFi controller I07917566 is supplied, which is connected to the control board of the indoor unit. The indoor units have a noise level of 38–24 dB(A) (sound pressure), air flow up to 600 m³/h and each dehumidifies 1.0 l of water per hour; the outdoor unit achieves a sound pressure of 42 dB(A).

Installation and Maintenance

Each indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit by its own pair of refrigerant pipes 6.35 mm (1/4") and 9.52 mm (3/8"). The route to one indoor unit can be up to 20 m, all routes together 30 m; the vertical difference between the outdoor and indoor unit is up to 15 m, between the indoor units up to 7.5 m. The outdoor unit with IPX4 protection cools at outdoor temperatures from -15 to 50 °C and heats at -20 to 24 °C, is single-phase powered 230 V / 50 Hz (max. draw 11.0 A). Refrigerant R32 is flammable, therefore installation, commissioning and service belong exclusively to a qualified technician. Air filters are cleaned every 100 hours of operation, approximately once every two weeks in dusty environments; the entire system is recommended to be checked once every two years by the manufacturer.

Measurement Conditions: cooling at room temperature 27 (19) °C and outside 35 °C, heating at 20 °C in the room and -10 °C outside.
