Assembly and Performance

IVAR.XREVO-18 is an inverter air conditioner with air-to-air heat exchange from the Italian manufacturer EMMETI in the size of 18 kBtu/h. It consists of a wall-mounted indoor unit X-REVO-1824W and an outdoor unit X-REVO-1824E with a rotary compressor. The nominal cooling capacity of 5.1 kW is continuously adjusted by the inverter to the current demand in the range of 1.20–6.00 kW. When heating, it operates as a heat pump: at an outdoor temperature of -10 °C, it delivers 4.9 kW of heat to the room, and at 7 °C, it delivers 5.30 kW (1.20–6.40 kW) nominally.

Additional features include SUPER for rapid cooling or heating, quiet mode QUIET, economy mode ECONOMY, night mode SLEEP, timer TIMER, I FEEL with a temperature sensor in the remote control, maintaining 8 °C during heating, cleaning mode CLEAN, and automatic restart with the original settings after a power outage. For control via the ConnectLife app from a mobile phone, a separate WiFi controller I07917566 is available, which connects to the control board of the indoor unit. The noise level of the indoor unit is 42–30 dB(A) (sound pressure), air flow up to 950 m³/h, and dehumidification capacity 2.3 l/h; the outdoor unit achieves a sound pressure of 41 dB(A).

Installation and Maintenance

The units are connected by refrigerant pipes with a diameter of 6.35 mm (1/4") and 12.70 mm (1/2") for a maximum distance of 20 m with a height difference of up to 15 m. The outdoor unit with IPX4 protection cools at outdoor temperatures from -15 to 43 °C and heats at -15 to 24 °C, and is powered by single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz (max. draw 12.3 A). The refrigerant R32 is flammable, so installation, commissioning, and service must be carried out exclusively by a qualified technician. Air filters should be cleaned every 100 hours of operation, approximately once every two weeks in dusty environments; the manufacturer recommends having the entire system inspected once every two years.

Yes, in HEAT mode it operates as an air-to-air heat pump and delivers 4.9 kW of heat at an outdoor temperature of -10 °C. The outdoor unit can heat down to -15 °C; at temperatures around -8 °C and humidity around 90 %, it defrosts more frequently, so it is advisable to have another heat source in such conditions.

How far can the outdoor unit be from the indoor unit?
The refrigerant pipe between the units can be up to 20 m long and the height difference between the units can be up to 15 m. Pipes with diameters of 1/4" and 1/2" are used.

Can the air conditioner be controlled from a mobile phone?
