Splitter/collector assembly with heat metering preparation IVAR.CS 501 MST – 3-way, 5/4" × 1/2"
Code: 400366NMSTProduct detailed description
The assembly IVAR.CS 501 MST with dimensions 5/4" × 1/2" distributes heating water to residential or non-residential units, and each of the 3 outputs has its own supply with the possibility of closure. The outputs are prepared for heat meters, so you can read the consumption of all units from one central location.
How to Install Heat Meters
- close the ball valves on the assembly input and on the individual outputs
- release the pressure using manual air vents
- remove the mounting nipples with a construction length of 110 mm and replace them with meters
- refill and bleed the system again
The meter belongs in the return pipe, the temperature sensor in the supply. The sensor (connection M 10 × 1) is inserted into a ball valve with a recess in the distributor, which you need to rotate by 45° during installation.
Assembly Contents
- body of the distributor and collector, mounting consoles
- manual air vents, filling/draining ball valves
- ball valves with union nuts and flat gaskets
- ball valves with a recess for the meter temperature sensor
- threaded inserts and mounting nipples
The assembly comes pre-assembled; during installation, it is sufficient to tighten the connections. Ball valves for the main supply and return are not included in the packaging – the valve with a red lever goes into the distributor, and the one with a blue lever into the collector.
Installation and Accessories
The supply is connected to the upper part (distributor), the return to the lower part (collector), from the left or right. A suitable box for this size is IVAR.P-KLASIK 3 for plastering (depth 110–160 mm) or IVAR.N-KLASIK 3 for wall mounting (depth 130 mm). You can also add a corner connection IVAR.AC 619 / AC 619 L, a set of ball valves IVAR.9723 R, a heat and cold meter IVAR.WFM (MEGATRON 5), or a dynamic balancing valve IVAR.PICV. The body is made from drawn CW617N brass rods, thermally treated to prevent internal stress; threads according to ISO 228, operation up to PN 10 and +120 °C. Use Teflon tape, thread sealant, paste or gel on the threads; hemp is not recommended. Installation is carried out by a qualified person, and the system must be flushed before starting operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the heat meter part of the assembly?
No. The outputs have mounting nipples with a construction length of 110 mm, which are later replaced by heat meters, for example IVAR.WFM (MEGATRON 5).
Where is the meter and where is the temperature sensor mounted?
The heat meter is always installed in the return pipe, the temperature sensor in the supply. The sensor is inserted into a ball valve with a recess in the distributor, which must be rotated by 45° during installation.
Which box is suitable for the 400366NMST assembly?
The plaster-in IVAR.P-KLASIK 3 with adjustable depth 110–160 mm or the wall-mounted IVAR.N-KLASIK 3 with depth 130 mm. The box is ordered separately.
Are ball valves for the main supply included in the packaging?
No, ball valves for the main supply and return are optional. A valve with a red lever is mounted in the distributor, and one with a blue lever in the collector.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
