Stainless steel assembly distributor/collector IVAR.GBC 02 SET, EQUIFLUID 50–300 mbar, heat metering preparation – 1" × EK, 4-way
Code: 550170S04Product detailed description
IVAR.GBC 02 SET (code 550170S04) is a complete set of a stainless steel distributor and collector with 4 outlets: body 1", outlets on eurocone (EK), mounting consoles, balancing unit EQUIFLUID and preparation for heat consumption measurement. Dynamic balancing maintains a constant set differential pressure on the distributor regardless of what is happening in the rest of the system.
How the EQUIFLUID unit works
The main EQUIFLUID valve in the return line reacts to pressure fluctuations by combining a diaphragm and a spring; it is connected to the partner valve in the supply line by a 1.5 m long capillary. The partner valve limits the maximum flow (static balancing) and measures the differential pressure value, to which the main valve is then set in the range of 50–300 mbar. This ensures that the flows in the circuits remain close to the designed values, which you will especially appreciate in systems with variable flow – with thermostatic valves, zonal control or multiple heating modules.
What the set contains
- stainless steel distributor with flow meters and collector with 4 outlets and mounting consoles
- regulating set EQUIFLUID with ball valves, filling/drain valves, thermometers and automatic air vents on the supply and return side
- mounting flange for the future heat meter and a socket for its temperature sensor
- ball valve with a union nut, gaskets, reducers, T-piece and plugs
Technical data and accessories
The set is suitable for pressure PN 10 and temperature up to +90 °C; the EQUIFLUID valve itself can withstand up to +120 °C and works with water or a mixture of water and 30 % glycol. Materials used: stainless steel AISI 304, brass CW617N and CW602N, seals and diaphragm from EPDM, plastics PA6 + 30 % GF and PPE. It can be supplemented with an electronic heat meter IVAR.WFM 50 (Megatron 5), M-Bus module IVAR.WFZ 51 or AMR radio module IVAR.WFZ 662, thermal insulation of the EQUIFLUID unit (code 506184) and installation box P-KLASIK 3 (underfloor) or N-KLASIK 3 (overfloor).
The main valve must be installed on the return line, accessible for setting and measurement and mounted in the direction of the arrow on the body. Before commissioning, the entire system must be thoroughly flushed.

Frequently asked questions
What is the preparation for heat consumption measurement used for?
The set includes a mounting flange, on which the electronic heat meter IVAR.WFM 50 (Megatron 5) will be installed later, and a socket for its temperature sensor. The meter is not part of the delivery; for its communication, the M-Bus module IVAR.WFZ 51 or the AMR radio module IVAR.WFZ 662 is used.
How is the differential pressure set on the EQUIFLUID unit?
First, the partner valve is set without the capillary and the differential pressure is measured between the pressure ports of the partner and main valve. Then the capillary is mounted and the control head of the main valve is set to the measured value in the range of 50–300 mbar.
Which installation box do I need for the 4-way set?
The technical sheet for this size lists a box of size 3: underfloor P-KLASIK 3 or overfloor N-KLASIK 3. The box is not part of the set and is ordered separately.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
