Stainless steel distribution/collector assembly IVAR.CS 657 SET – 3 outputs 1/2" F, input 6/4" F, heat metering preparation
Code: 530073SETProduct detailed description
IVAR.CS 657 SET with code 530073SET is a floor-level assembly of a distributor and collector made of stainless steel, featuring 3 outputs and is ready from the factory for the installation of heat consumption meters. Each connected residential or non-residential unit will have its own supply and return with the possibility of individual closure, while the readings of all meters are performed at one location.
Construction and Connection
- body of the distributor and collector DN 40 made of stainless steel AISI 316L, supply and return parts are color-coded
- side inlets with internal thread 6/4" and 1" – the primary pipe can be connected from the left or the right
- 3 outputs with internal thread 1/2" at an axial distance of 100 mm
- on each branch, a mounting stub with a construction length of 110 mm, where a heat meter will be installed later
- ball valves with sleeve nuts and flat gaskets and ball valves with a recess for a temperature sensor (thread M 10 x 1)
- mounting consoles, threaded reductions and bushings; threads according to ISO 228, brass CW617N, gaskets EPDM
Operating Values
The assembly is suitable for heating and cooling systems with water or a mixture containing up to 30 % glycol, at a pressure up to 10 bar and a temperature up to +120 °C. At a flow rate of 1.0 m/s, the body of the 6/4" distributor can handle approximately 5 000 l/h and one output with ball valves about 1 100 l/h.
Installation of Meters
Instead of stubs, heat meters IVAR.WFM 50 (MEGATRON 5) are mounted, to which a communication module M-Bus IVAR.WFZ 51 or a radio module IVAR.WFZ 662 can be added. Individual branches can be adjusted with a dynamic balancing valve IVAR.PICV. The assembly comes pre-assembled, and installation into the system should be performed by a qualified professional. It is recommended to thoroughly flush the system before commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the heat meter part of the assembly?
No. The assembly is only prepared for measurement – on each branch there is a mounting stub with a length of 110 mm, which is later replaced by a separately ordered heat meter IVAR.WFM 50.
Which pipe is the heat meter mounted on?
The heat meter is always mounted on the return pipe (collector), the temperature sensor in the recess of the ball valve on the supply. The ball valve with a recess must be rotated by 45° during installation to allow the sensor to be mounted.
Can the primary pipe be connected from both sides?
Yes, the supply and return of the heat source can be connected from the left or right, depending on the conditions on site. For easier connection, the manufacturer recommends the corner connection IVAR.AC 619 / IVAR.AC 619 L, which is not part of the delivery.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
