Flanged non-return valve stainless steel BRA.M6.623 PR with spring – DN 250, L = 38 mm
Code: M6623250Product detailed description
Check Valve for Tight Spaces
The BRA.M6.623 PR valve is installed between flanges of pipe DN 250 (PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 and ANSI 150), and occupies only 38 mm. It is suitable for heating and air conditioning (HVAC), water supply, compressed air, oils and hydrocarbons, chemical and food industries; it can also handle water with up to 50 % glycol content and has a certificate for potable water. It is not suitable for steam.
Construction
- body, disc and plate made of stainless steel ASTM A351 CF8M
- spring made of stainless steel AISI 302 allows installation in all positions
- sealing O-ring made of PTFE – according to the manufacturer, no additional sealing is required during installation
- centering profile, positioning hole and lifting eye facilitate installation
- rounded disc with a stop against the pipe wall for maximum opening and low pressure loss, Kv 1670 m³/h
- weight 12.4 kg
Pressure, Temperature and Installation
For water and safe liquids, the maximum pressure is 25 bar; for safe gases in DN 250, it is 16 bar; the valve is not suitable for hazardous gases. The PTFE sealing temperature range is -20 to +200 °C, with allowable pressure decreasing as temperature increases. The valve is unidirectional – it must be installed according to the arrow on the body, in a straight section as far away as possible from elbows, bends and pumps. Bolts must be tightened gradually in a cross pattern; disassembly or maintenance must not be performed under pressure. The same valve without a spring is produced as BRA.06.623 (code I06623250).

Frequently Asked Questions
In which position can the valve with a spring be installed?
The spring made of stainless steel allows installation in any position, in horizontal and vertical piping. The flow direction must be followed according to the arrow on the body.
Between which flanges does the DN 250 valve fit?
The centering profile allows installation between flanges PN 6, PN 10 and PN 16 as well as ANSI 150. The valve is inserted between the flanges and tightened with bolts.
Is the valve suitable for a system with glycol?
Yes, the manufacturer specifies it for water with glycol content up to 50 %. It is not suitable for steam and hazardous gases.
Where in the piping should the valve be placed?
Place it in a straight section as far away as possible from elbows, bends and circulation pumps to avoid turbulence near the valve.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
