Hi, I have some old pipes at home and I'm not sure if this filter thing will fit – it says 1/2" but I don't really know how to measure that or check it on my pipes. Is there any easy way to tell if it'll connect properly, or do I need a plumber to figure that out?

The 1/2" refers to the thread size on the pipe connection, which is one of the most common sizes in household heating and water systems – so there's a good chance it'll fit. The easiest way to check is to look at any existing fittings or valves near where you'd install it and see if they're marked 1/2" (sometimes written as DN15). If you're not sure, a quick look by a plumber takes just a few minutes. This filter is 65mm long, so also make sure there's a bit of space around the installation spot.
