The IVAR.SE80 (code SE0080C5VR) is an electric storage water heater with an 80 l capacity that hangs vertically on the wall. The water is heated by a 2000 W element at 230 V, and the user sets the temperature manually with the knob on the plastic cover.

Installation
The heater hangs on two hooks via the mounting bracket on the body (hooks and wall plugs suitable for the wall are not included). The cold and hot water connections are 1/2" male. A safety relief valve is required on the cold water inlet – the manufacturer specifies the IVAR.G 501 set to 0.7 MPa – and a suitably sized expansion vessel is recommended. The electrical circuit needs a double-pole switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm. Installation and connection must only be carried out by a qualified person.
The same range is also made in 100 l (IVAR.SE100) and 120 l (IVAR.SE120) versions.

Frequently asked questions
How often does the anode need replacing?
According to the manufacturer, the magnesium anode must be replaced every 2 years, which requires removing the heating element. Descaling the heating element once a year is recommended.
Is a safety valve required?
Yes, the cold water inlet must have a safety relief valve (the manufacturer specifies the IVAR.G 501 set to 0.7 MPa). Slight dripping during heating is normal, so the valve outlet is connected to a drain.
What water is suitable for the heater?
The hardness of the incoming water must not exceed 2 mmol/l (11.2 °dH) and the water must not be aggressive. If these conditions are not met, the warranty is void.
Can the heater be mounted horizontally?
No, the IVAR.SE80 is designed for vertical wall mounting only.
