DAB.DRENAG 1200 M-A (code 103041040) is a submersible centrifugal pump made of stainless steel. It is designed for non-aggressive waste, clean and sandy water without fibrous impurities, containing solid particles up to a size of 10 mm. The designation M-A means a single-phase motor and a float that automatically turns the pump on and off according to the water level.

Construction and connection

The dry waterproof asynchronous motor is cooled by the flowing pumped liquid. The single-phase motor is protected by an internal thermal protection – in case of overload, it stops and automatically restarts after cooling down. The shaft is sealed by a double mechanical seal with an oil chamber. The discharge is vertical with a 1 1/2" GAS thread and the pump is delivered with a 10 m H07RN-F cable with a plug. It can be installed permanently or portably, in a vertical or horizontal position. The DRENAG 1000/1200 range covers flow rates from 3 to 24 m³/h and a head up to 14.2 m; the liquid temperature can be 0 to +35 °C in the household and up to +50 °C in other applications.

The pump must not run dry and must not be used in swimming pools or tanks where people are present. The surrounding area must be protected by a residual current device with a tripping current of up to 30 mA.

How is the pump turned on?
The M-A version has a float that automatically starts the pump when the water level rises and turns it off after the level drops. The on and off levels can be adjusted by the cable length between the float and the eye on the handle.

What kind of impurities can the pump handle?
It is designed for non-aggressive water with solid particles up to 10 mm, for example sandy or slightly contaminated water. It must not be used for water with fibrous impurities.

How large must the shaft be?
The manual specifies for the DRENAG 1000–1200 range a minimum shaft size of 600 × 600 mm. The float must be able to move freely in it and a check valve is recommended for the discharge pipe.
