IVAR.IVN440 – 15 mm (code IVN440.15) is a one-way, i.e. equilateral 90° T-piece made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301). The run and the branch end in a pressing collar (PRESS × PRESS × PRESS) for a tube with an outer diameter of 15 mm, so you can branch off a perpendicular branch of the same dimension from the running pipe.

This T-piece is not suitable for potable water. Its body is marked with the AISI 304 logo, dimensions, traceability code and the symbol indicating unsuitability for potable water.

Pressing for size 15 mm

Connections are pressed with M-profile jaws – for diameters from 15 to 35 mm, single-piece jaws are sufficient. V-profile is prohibited for any diameter. Size 15 mm can also be handled by portable pressing tools with low force (up to 17 kN). Inspection is facilitated by an orange stripe on the collar, which indicates an unpressed connection, and an LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring with a broken profile – as long as the connection is not pressed, liquid leaks from it during pressure testing.

Cut the tube perpendicularly to the axis, deburr it from the inside and outside and moisten the O-ring with water at most, never with oil or grease. Insert it with a slight rotation until it stops, mark the position with a marker and press the connection in one go.

Can I use the IVAR.IVN440 T-piece for potable water distribution?
No. Fittings made of stainless steel AISI 304 in this range are not intended for potable water, as indicated by the symbol on their body. Use them in closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems or for compressed air and technical gases.

Which pressing jaws do I need for size 15 mm?
Jaws with an M-profile; for diameters from 15 to 35 mm, single-piece jaws are used. V-profile jaws are prohibited in this system.

How can I tell that the connection is not yet pressed?
There is an orange indicator stripe on the collar and the LBP O-ring with a broken profile causes the unpressed connection to leak during pressure testing. This way, you can immediately detect a missed connection.

Can a smaller branch be branched off from the IVAR.IVN440 15 mm T-piece?
No, it is a one-way T-piece – all three collars have a diameter of 15 mm. For a smaller diameter branch, the reduced T-piece IVAR.IVN441 is available in the range.
