T-piece 90° PRESS with internal thread Rp 3/4" IVAR.IVN442 – stainless steel AISI 304, 35 mm
Code: IVN442.353435Product detailed description
The T-piece IVAR.IVN442 in size 35 mm – Rp 3/4" – 35 mm creates a 90° branch on a stainless steel pipe, ending in an internal thread instead of a compression fitting. Both transition ends are crimped onto a pipe of the same diameter 35 mm – the fitting is not reduced. A component with an external thread is directly connected to the Rp 3/4" thread.
The fitting is made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) and the compression fittings are sealed with EPDM O-rings. The body is marked with the logo AISI 304, dimensions, traceability code and a symbol indicating that the product is not suitable for potable water.
The LBP (Leak Before Press) O-rings have a broken profile, so an uncrimped joint will leak water during a pressure test. Together with the orange crimp indicator stripe, an uncrimped joint can be detected before the system is put into operation.
Application
- closed heating and cooling systems
- solar systems
- compressed air and vacuum systems
- inert and technical gases
- technical and operational liquids, industrial applications
- sewage and rainwater
The circuit may contain a non-freezing mixture with a concentration of up to 50%. The T-piece is not intended for potable water distribution.
Installation and crimping
Connections are crimped using M-profile jaws. For diameter 35 mm, the system manual specifies individual (single-piece) jaws; V-profile jaws must not be used at any size.
Cut the pipe perpendicular to its axis, thoroughly clean it inside and outside, and mark the insertion depth with a pen. Seal the thread using only materials without chlorides, such as Teflon tape or hemp fiber with non-chloride paste. Follow the system installation instructions and flush the entire circuit before commissioning; the manufacturer also recommends water treatment with the preparation GEL.LONG LIFE 100.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the T-piece IVAR.IVN442 for potable water distribution?
No. The AISI 304 stainless steel version is not suitable for potable water according to the manufacturer, as indicated by the symbol on the fitting. It is intended for heating, cooling, solar circuits, compressed air and technical gases or liquids.
What should I use to seal the Rp 3/4" thread on the branch?
The system installation manual allows only sealing materials without chlorides – Teflon tape without chlorides, hemp with sealing paste without chlorides or sealing tape without chlorides. Chlorides increase the risk of stainless steel corrosion.
What crimping jaws do I need for size 35 mm?
Jaws with an M profile; for diameters 15 to 35 mm, individual jaws are sufficient. The system manual prohibits the use of V-profile jaws.
How can I identify a joint I forgot to crimp?
There is an orange crimp indicator on the fittings and an LBP O-ring, which will leak liquid during a pressure test until the joint is crimped. The error is thus revealed before the system is put into operation.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
