Product detailed description
Heat pump Vaillant flexoTHERM exclusive VWF 157/4
Vaillant flexoTHERM exclusive VWF 157/4 is an indoor unit of a ground-water heat pump from the premium flexoTHERM exclusive range. The device is designed for heating, hot water preparation and, in combination with suitable accessories, also for passive cooling. The unit is connected to a ground collector or boreholes in the basic version and, thanks to the additional fluoCOLLECT separation module, it can also be operated as a water-water heat pump with a well as a heat source.
The entire unit is installed inside the building, so it does not occupy any space outdoors and does not create noise around the house. Thanks to the integrated Vaillant Sound Safe System, the operating noise of the compressor and other components remains "confined" inside the unit – the noise level near the device is comparable to the quiet hum of a refrigerator.
Heat pumps in the flexoTHERM exclusive range cover a power range of 5 to 19 kW, which makes them suitable for use in both single-family homes and larger apartment buildings. The model VWF 157/4 belongs to the higher power class of this range and is suitable for buildings with higher heating requirements.
The device is prepared for convenient control via the myVAILLANT app – in combination with an internet gateway, the system can be monitored and controlled remotely, energy consumption can be checked and operating modes for heating, hot water heating or cooling can be set.

Installation and compatibility
The flexoTHERM exclusive VWF 157/4 heat pump is installed inside the building and requires connection to a ground heat source – ground collectors or geothermal boreholes. When using water as a heat source, an additional separation module fluoCOLLECT (e.g. fluoCOLLECT VWW 19/4 SI) is required to separate the primary well circuit from the heat pump circuit.
- Ground collectors, boreholes or wells are not part of the unit delivery – they must be built separately according to the project.
- A hot water storage tank or a module for hot water preparation is not part of this unit, unless explicitly stated in a specific configuration.
- To fully utilise the equithermal regulation and remote control, it is advisable to add the sensoCOMFORT controller and the internet gateway VR 940f.
- Installation, connection of the heat source and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified technician in accordance with the project documentation and the manufacturer's installation instructions.
