- What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialized pressing pliers with the correct type of jaw (commonly labeled B, F, or TH depending on the system) corresponding to the size and type of the fitting - without the proper tool, the joint cannot be made or checked.
- How do I know the joint has been pressed correctly? Quality press fittings have a pressing indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if pressing is incomplete) - a pressure test of the entire system must always be performed before the joint is embedded in a wall or screed.
