Detailed information

Product detailed description

Flue extension 1.0 m Ø 200 mm is a medium-length, most universally used straight component from the range of Vaillant DN 200 PP flue extraction system extensions. Thanks to its length, it represents a practical basic building module for spanning the typical height of one floor or a medium distance in the horizontal section of the route.

The Vaillant DN 200 PP flue extraction system is an original component system for removing flue gases from high-capacity condensing boilers of the ecoCRAFT exclusiv range (and in some projects also from cascade assemblies of several Vaillant condensing boilers connected to a common flue gas collector). It is a single-wall plastic pipe made of durable polypropylene (PP), which, due to the low temperature of flue gases from condensing technology (typically up to approx. 80 °C), is a fully-fledged and more cost-effective alternative to metal stainless steel flues used in older atmospheric or low-efficiency heat sources. The 1.0 m length is in practice the most frequently ordered extension from the entire range, as it corresponds well to the typical floor-to-floor height in family houses and smaller commercial buildings, while also allowing faster installation with fewer joints than repeated use of shorter 0.5 m components. For greater heights or route lengths, this component is commonly combined with the longer 2.0 m extension.

Technical characteristics

  • Length - 1.0 m, the most universal length in the range of extensions
  • Material - polypropylene (PP), resistant to flue gas condensate
  • Nominal diameter - DN 200, for the ecoCRAFT exclusiv system
  • Design - straight component without inspection opening
  • Manufacturer's order number - 0020095550
  • Joint type - socket connection with sealing ring at both ends
  • Typical use - spanning floor height, medium-length horizontal sections of the route

Installation and use in the flue route

The 1.0 m extension is most commonly used in practice to span the typical height of one floor in a vertical section of the route, or as a medium-length building module in a horizontal run to the boiler or to a common flue gas collector. It is installed with a socket connection with a sealing ring at both ends, the same as other straight components of the DN 200 PP system. The exact combination of lengths for your specific route is determined by the flue gas path project; installation should only be carried out by a professionally qualified company with authorization to install flue gas systems. On horizontal sections, the prescribed slope toward condensate drainage must be maintained. On vertical runs, it is recommended to continuously check the verticality of the route with a level after each installed component before continuing to the next section, so that any inaccuracy does not accumulate over a greater height.

Compatibility and system integration

The component is fully compatible with other components of the DN 200 PP system listed in the overview table below - elbows of all angles, inspection elements, and spacer holders. For greater heights or distances, the 1.0 m extension is combined with the longer 2.0 m component and the shorter 0.5 m component to precisely fine-tune the total route length according to the project. Like other components of this range, the extension is not interchangeable with components of other diameters of Vaillant flue extraction systems, such as DN 110/160 mm or DN 130 mm.

Number of joints versus component length - impact on tightness and costs

When designing the combination of extensions for a specific route, it is important to consider not only the total required length but also the number of resulting joints between individual components. Each socket joint with a sealing ring is structurally safe and certified for the given operation; nevertheless, the general principle applies that fewer joints for the same total route length means a somewhat lower theoretical risk of leakage over many years of operation, since each joint is a point where a visual tightness check is later performed.

The 1.0 m extension represents a reasonable compromise in this respect between the short 0.5 m component (more joints for the same length, but greater flexibility in fine-tuning the exact measurement) and the long 2.0 m component (fewer joints, but less flexibility and more difficult handling during installation in confined shaft spaces). That is precisely why the 1.0 m component is in practice the most commonly used basic building module when assembling the route.

From an economic point of view, the price of the individual extension lengths roughly corresponds to the amount of material used, so the choice between several shorter or fewer longer components for the same total route length does not have a significant impact on the total material cost - the decisive criterion should therefore primarily be the practicality of installation and minimizing the number of joints, especially in hard-to-reach places along the route.

When combining several lengths, we also recommend taking into account the handling options at the specific construction site - in narrow or hard-to-reach shafts, handling the longer 2.0 m component may be more difficult than the shorter 1.0 m or 0.5 m component, which may be another reason to choose shorter components even where a longer component would theoretically mean fewer joints.

When ordering material at atria.sk, we recommend always specifying the total planned height or length of the route and the boiler type - based on this information, we will be happy to suggest the optimal combination of extension lengths, taking into account both the number of joints and the practicality of handling at the specific construction site.

The 1.0 m extension is also a component worth keeping in stock by service companies as a standard reserve in case it is necessary to replace a damaged part of the route during a service intervention - its universal length covers most common situations without the need for a special custom order.

Maintenance, service and inspection

Straight extensions do not require separate maintenance; their condition is verified during the annual inspection of the flue gas path through the nearest inspection access points along the route. For longer assembled sections, it is necessary to maintain the prescribed spacing of spacer holders along the entire length of the route, including this component, to prevent sagging of the pipe between individual mounting points. If replacement is necessary, the component is simply pulled out of the socket joints on both sides and replaced with a new original piece of the same length and diameter.

Why choose an original Vaillant component

Thanks to its universal length, the 1.0 m extension is the most frequently ordered component from the entire range of extensions - it corresponds well to the typical floor height and reduces the number of joints needed compared to repeated use of shorter components. The original Vaillant component has a precisely defined diameter and wall thickness corresponding to the certification of the entire ecoCRAFT exclusiv system, which guarantees the tightness of the joints as well as the preservation of the warranty on the boiler and flue gas path. As a verified supplier of original Vaillant components, we can guarantee the origin and quality of every piece supplied.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions - Vaillant Flue extension 1.0 m, Ø 200 mm

Why is the 1.0 m extension the most frequently ordered component?

Its length corresponds well to the typical floor-to-floor height in family houses and smaller commercial buildings, so it can be used directly without the need to combine it with other components to span one floor.

Can the 1.0 m extension also be used on the horizontal part of the route?

Yes, it is used on both vertical and horizontal sections of the route - for horizontal routing, the prescribed slope toward condensate drainage must be maintained.

How do I calculate the exact number of 1.0 m extension pieces needed?

The exact calculation is part of the flue gas path project based on the total height or length of the route - if in doubt, we will be happy to help you with an approximate calculation.

Is the price difference between the 0.5 m, 1.0 m and 2.0 m extensions proportional to the length?

The price of the individual lengths roughly corresponds to the amount of material used, and longer components also have the advantage of fewer joints for the same total route length.

Can I combine several 1.0 m pieces instead of one 2.0 m component?

Yes, technically this is possible - two 1.0 m pieces reach the same length as one 2.0 m piece, but with one additional joint - for longer routes, it is therefore more advantageous in terms of the number of joints to use the longer component where possible.

Is the material of the 1.0 m extension the same as for the other lengths?

Yes, it is the same polypropylene (PP) certified for operation with condensing technology across the entire range of extensions.

Can this extension also be used in a cascade boiler room with multiple boilers?

Yes, the 1.0 m extension is commonly used in cascade assemblies as well to span the distance between individual boilers and a common flue gas collector.

Is a specific insertion direction into the joint required when installing this component?

Yes, the socket end of the component is always inserted in the direction of downward condensate flow so that the joint remains tight even as condensate flows down - the exact orientation is specified by the system's installation manual.

How long does the sealing ring in the joint last without replacement?

With correct installation and normal operating conditions, the service life of the sealing ring is comparable to that of the pipe itself; however, it is recommended to visually check its condition during the annual inspection.

Can I order the 1.0 m extension together with other components in one order?

Yes, all components of the DN 200 PP system can be ordered at once in a single order, which simplifies logistics and transport of material to the construction site.

Do you offer a quantity discount for larger material orders for the entire route?

For a larger order for a complete route installation, please contact us via the form or e-mail - we will be happy to prepare an individual offer according to the scope of your order.
