THERMIA LEGEND 4 WW (code IHPWW0204592) is the smallest model in the LEGEND range – the successor to the well-known Thermia Diplomat – in the water/water version. It extracts heat from groundwater or surface water and delivers it to the heating system with an output temperature of up to 60 °C. It is suitable for new buildings as well as renovations; the LEGEND WW range covers heat losses up to 16 kW.

Water/water version
The water version includes a heat exchanger and flow sensor in the delivery – their use is a condition of the warranty. The circuit between the heat exchanger and the heat pump is filled with a non-freezing solution based on ethanol with a freezing point of -17 ± 2 °C. With an expansion module, it can handle an additional mixed circuit, pool heating and cooling.
Installation
The output is designed in the Thermia HPC program. The heat pump belongs in a frost-free room on a solid floor (with the tank filled, it weighs 336 kg), not in a corner. The volume of water in the heating system must be at least 14 l per kW of output, and a magnetic dirt separator with a filter must be installed in the return line. The connecting kit IVAR.TER-PS for LEGEND 4–10 (IHP08645675) and the safety valve for the heating system are not part of the delivery. Installation is carried out by a professional company, and work on the refrigerant circuit is carried out only by a qualified person.

What is included in the delivery for the WW version?
The water version includes a heat exchanger and a flow sensor, the use of which is a condition of the warranty. Also included are safety valves 9 and 3 bar, an external sensor, a ball valve with a filter, and a filling device; the connecting kit IVAR.TER-PS is ordered separately.
How much hot water is available?
The heat pump has a built-in stainless steel tank of 184 l with TWS technology. Hot water preparation has priority over heating.
Can LEGEND be used for cooling as well?
Yes, with an expansion module. The manufacturer recommends a cooling module for passive or passive and active cooling for cooling.
Can LEGEND work together with photovoltaics?
