Accessibility statement

The website www.atriashop.eu is operated by ATRIA Slovensko s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 53 430 875. We want everyone to be able to find their way around it – including visitors with visual, hearing or mobility impairments, and those who use only a keyboard or a screen reader. This page explains what we have already achieved and what is still missing.

Scope and legal basis

This statement applies to the online shop www.atriashop.eu, including ordering. The legal basis is Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, known as the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and Slovak Act No. 351/2022 Z. z., which transposed the directive into Slovak law; the operator is based in the Slovak Republic.

Where we stand

The aim is to meet the criteria of WCAG 2.1 level AA (the EN 301 549 standard also refers to them). So far the website meets them only partly; the gaps are listed below.

What the website already offers

Display settings

The header contains an Accessibility button. Behind it are five switches:

  • Larger text (text and buttons are 15 % larger),
  • Higher contrast: black text and more prominent links,
  • Underlined links: links in the text stand out even without colour,
  • Turn off animations: stops everything that moves, including videos,
  • Easier-to-read text: looser spacing between letters, words and lines.

The settings are saved only in the browser where you turned them on, so you do not have to look for them again when you return. The “Restore default appearance” button cancels all the adjustments.

Keyboard control and screen readers

  • When you press the Tab key, a hidden option Skip to main content appears, which takes you past the header and the menu.
  • The control that is currently selected has a clear outline.
  • Icon buttons and some form fields (for example quantity) have a text label that a screen reader reads out.
  • A screen reader also announces the new result of the calculators and of the heat source selection guide.

Motion

If your operating system reports that you do not want animations, the website reduces them to a minimum and stops videos. You get the same effect by choosing “Turn off animations”.

What is not yet in order

  • YouTube videos are played by the YouTube player, and captions are not always available in it.
  • Manuals and data sheets in PDF format come from the manufacturers. They may not have correctly tagged headings, image descriptions or text that a screen reader can use; the same may apply to older product descriptions.
  • Checkout and payment: the order is processed by the Shoptet platform and the payment is handled by an external gateway, so we can influence their accessibility only to a limited extent.
  • Third-party content displayed directly on the page is not under our control.

We are dealing with the shortcomings that depend on us step by step. If you need information in another form – for example as text in an e-mail – get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Who to contact

Were you unable to order or find something because of a barrier on the website? Write to info@atriashop.eu or call +421 917 133 662 (Mon–Fri 7:30–15:30 CET) and tell us the address of the page and what exactly did not work. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Oversight

If you are not satisfied with our reply or do not receive one, you can contact the market surveillance authority. In the Slovak Republic this is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia). A customer from another EU Member State can also turn to the supervisory authority in their own country.
