Detailed information

Product detailed description

– 32 kW gasification boiler for brown coal and wood – COMBI with exhaust fan and cooling loop

It is designed for burning brown coal and wood as a backup fuel (for firing up), based on the principle of generator gasification using an exhaust fan (S) that draws flue gases out of the boiler.
The boiler body is made as a welded structure from high-quality steel sheets 3 to 6 mm thick. It consists of two chambers stacked on top of each other, the upper one serves as a fuel hopper, the lower one as a combustion chamber and ash pan. Between them is a new, patented, rotary grate that allows perfect fuel gasification and easy ash removal. In the rear part of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, fitted at the top with a firing-up flap. The upper part of the flue gas duct is fitted with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Basic technical data of Atmos C32ST:

  • output: 32 kW
  • required chimney draught: 25 Pa
  • boiler weight: 415 kg
  • water volume: 74 L
  • hopper volume: 125 dm3
  • electrical input: 50 W
  • connection voltage: 230/50 V/Hz
  • prescribed fuel: brown coal (nut 1 grade) with calorific value 17 – 20 MJ/kg-1
  • backup fuel: dry wood with calorific value 15 – 18 MJ/kg-1, diameter 80 – 120 mm and moisture content 12 – 20%
  • max. wood length: 430 mm
  • minimum return water temperature during operation: 65 °C
  • flue gas temperature at rated output: 181 °C
  • combustion class: 5
  • suitable connection ATMOS F2 Laddomat + PSC25-35

Advantages of ATMOS gasification coal boilers:

  • ability to burn quality brown coal and wood as a backup fuel
  • large fuel hopper = long burning time
  • high efficiency of 81 – 88% depending on the type – primary and secondary air is preheated to a high temperature
  • more environmentally friendly combustion – boiler according to ČSN EN 303-5 class 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • exhaust fan – dust-free ash removal, smoke-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating – no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown after fuel burns out – flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal – large ceramic combustion space for ash (coal ash is removed once a day, wood ash once a week)
  • boiler without a tube – easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How to choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during one loading - therefore it is common practice to add a storage (accumulation) tank to the boiler, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to inefficiently smoulder.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a storage (buffer) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler's output - exact chimney draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split wood of defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection report, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? Usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths of soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures and pressure elements, where an installation error can be a safety risk.
