Barenbrug Grass Mix Barpower RPR Sport 5 kg

Perfectly durable and dense lawn

Barenbrug RPR® Lawn 5kg represents a revolutionary sports turf composed of technology from professional stadiums directly for your garden. The RPR (Regenerating Perennial Ryegrass) system creates horizontal runners (stolons) in the grass, which form a dense network in the soil and ensure a beautiful and durable growth.

This process ensures that your lawn will be many times stronger than standard mixtures, while maintaining a high aesthetic value of a decorative carpet. It is the ideal choice for high-traffic areas where rapid recovery and maximum durability are required.

Main advantages of Barenbrug RPR® Lawn

• Extreme durability: The lawn is "as strong as iron" and resists being torn up during intense sports
• Self-regenerating ability: Stolons actively fill damaged areas and quickly repair the lawn.
• Fast greening: Combines strength with an instant start, so you do not have to wait long for the result
• High purity: The dense sward naturally suppresses the growth of weeds and unwanted grasses
• Wide range of use: Suitable for gardens, football pitches, parks and heavily used footpaths
• Early sowing: Unlike standard mixtures, RPR® can be sown as early as March

Combination of strength and beauty without compromise

RPR® Lawn is the first grass mixture that managed to combine the growth speed of annual rye grass with the durability of perennial rye grass. You no longer have to choose between a lawn that grows quickly and one that can withstand the pressure of children or pets. We can have both!

• Extreme strength and speed: The RPR variety is as strong as perennial rye grass, but grows significantly faster
• Stop unwanted annual rye grass: The quick establishment of RPR reduces the risk that unwanted annual rye grass will take hold on your area
• Density and health: Thanks to the content of red fescue, the lawn achieves very high density and excellent natural resistance to diseases
• Less care, more joy: The result is a better rooted lawn, which due to its robustness requires less fertilization and less water

Rocket start for every seed

In the 1 kg and 5 kg packages of RPR Lawn, the seeds are treated with the unique Yellow Jacket technology. This biostimulator contains natural plant hormones (cytokinins and auxins) and enzymes that stimulate new grass to grow quickly right after sowing.

What do you get with the Yellow Jacket technology?

• Strong root system: A denser and deeper root development ensures effective nutrient uptake and higher resistance to drought.
• Fast above-ground growth: Supports photosynthesis and accelerates the development of green area, making the lawn more resistant to stresses and diseases in the first stage of growth.
• Health and safety: The preparation is purely organic and biodegradable. It is completely safe for people, pets, birds and useful insects.

Preparation and successful implementation

To achieve a perfect result, we recommend the following procedure:

• Substrate preparation: Remove weeds, stones and loosen the soil to a depth of at least 20 cm.
• Sowing: Use a hand seeder for even seed distribution.
• Covering and rolling: Gently incorporate the seed to a depth of about 0.5 cm and roll the area.
• Watering: Keep the area constantly moist for the first 21 days, ideally using an automatic irrigation system.
• Mowing: Perform the first mowing at a height of 10 cm, then maintain the height according to need (ideally with a robotic lawnmower ).

WARNING: We recommend laying a mole barrier before sowing to protect your investment and work from damage by moles.
