IVAR wireless room thermostats save running a cable from the room to the boiler, as they send their command by radio to a receiver with a relay module. They are powered by AA or AAA batteries, and one model is a weekly thermostat with WiFi connectivity. The range is completed by an active antenna acting as a wireless signal receiver powered at 6 to 14 V DC.
