The DAB 3 ESYBOX MAX 45/120 M (code 60217358T) consists of three ESYBOX MAX 45/120 M electronic pump units mounted on a triple connection base. The set boosts water pressure in medium-sized and large residential buildings, commercial premises and high-rise buildings – according to the manufacturer, even above 14 floors. Thanks to its modular design, the individual parts can be carried separately and assembled only at the installation site. Quiet operation and compact dimensions allow installation even in occupied rooms.

Operating principle

Each unit is a vertical multistage pump with its own frequency inverter, display, pressure sensors on the suction and delivery sides, a non-return valve on the delivery side and a built-in expansion vessel. The electronics adapt the motor speed to the current demand and keep the system pressure at the set value within 1–12 bar (3 bar factory setting). Once the first pump is configured, the remaining units of the group synchronise automatically. According to the manufacturer's curve, the set delivers a head of 38.5 m at a flow rate of 25.2 m³/h.

Control and protections

Settings are made on the pump's large display or in the DConnect app – the units have built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. After the smartphone is connected, the DSync function automatically sets the language, time and units of measurement of the installation country. The electronics protect the pumps against dry running, overload, abnormal voltage, overheating, freezing, blocking and excessively frequent starts. The esy I/O expansion module, available as an accessory, enables connection to a building management system (BMS).

Installation and operation

The set is installed permanently in a vertical position. It pumps clean, chemically neutral water free of solid or abrasive particles up to 50 °C; the ambient temperature may be at most 55 °C and the inlet pressure at most 5 bar. According to IVAR, the complete set (version T) also includes the control panel and the bracket; the E3G7.8 M 230V panel is intended for three single-phase units. The electrical connection must be made by a qualified person.
