DAB ACTIVE SWITCH 30/50 M – rainwater harvesting system with automatic switchover to mains water – SALE
Code: 503150100Product detailed description
The DAB ACTIVE SWITCH 30/50 M (code 503150100) is a ready-to-install unit for distributing rainwater and non-potable water in a family house. It uses rainwater from the collection tank first; when there is not enough, it switches the suction to the mains, so the outlets never run dry. The water from this system is not drinkable – it is intended for WC flushing, washing machines, irrigation and floor cleaning.
How the unit works
A three-way valve on the suction of the Active EI 30/50 M automatic pump (EUROINOX 30/50 hydraulics) switches between the rainwater tank and a plastic break tank topped up from the mains through a float valve. The pump runs in start/stop mode according to pressure and flow: it starts when the pressure drops, stops when the tap is closed and also stops if water runs out, with a warning light on the panel; after a set time it restarts by itself. An anti-odour and anti-backflow siphon with a DN 50 overflow is included.
Technical data
- max. flow 80 l/min (4.8 m³/h), max. head 42.2 m
- max. system pressure 6 bar, mains pressure no more than 4 bar with a flow of at least 10 l/min
- height difference to the outlet up to 15 m, suction lift no more than 6 m
- power supply 220–240 V, 50 Hz, max. power input 880 W, protection rating IP 20
- connections: mains 3/4", suction and delivery 1", overflow DN 50
- water temperature +5 to +35 °C, pH 4–9, ambient temperature +5 to +40 °C
- weight 15 kg empty, 30 kg in operation
Package and installation
The delivery includes the unit with a PE tank, a wall bracket with accessories and a float level sensor with a 20 m cable for the collection tank. The unit is hung horizontally on a flat, solid wall in a dry room, at least 50 cm below the ceiling; for indoor installation the room must have a drainage sump. The supply circuit must be protected by a 30 mA residual current device, and the connection must be made by a qualified electrician.

Frequently asked questions
Is the water from the ACTIVE SWITCH drinkable?
No. The system distributes non-potable water for WC flushing, washing machines, irrigation and floor cleaning.
What happens when the rainwater tank runs dry?
The three-way valve switches the suction to the break tank topped up from the mains. The outlets therefore get water even in periods without rain.
What is in the package?
The ACTIVE SWITCH unit with pump and tank, a wall bracket with accessories, a float level sensor with a 20 m cable and the manual.
What pressure can the mains supply have?
The float valve is designed for no more than 4 bar and a flow of at least 10 l/min. At higher pressure, a pressure reducer and a filter must be fitted upstream.
