The EVOPLUS B 180/280.50 SAN M (code 60151171) is a single flanged circulator from the DAB EVOPLUS range for larger systems. The SAN version has a bronze body, which is why the manufacturer specifies it for drinking water – above all for domestic hot water recirculation in the secondary circuit. The electronic control follows the changing demand in the network and lowers the speed wherever full output is not needed.

Operation and communication

The control panel has an OLED display and three navigation buttons. The factory setting is proportional differential pressure (ΔP-v); constant differential pressure (ΔP-c) or a constant curve can also be selected. The electronics directly handle start/stop, economy mode, 0–10 V and 4–20 mA analogue signals, PWM, a temperature sensor signal for ΔT and ModBus communication; LonBus is available with an additional module. For the SAN version the manufacturer also lists a constant-temperature mode that keeps the water temperature in the recirculation pipe without thermostatic valves.

Design and installation

The suction and discharge flanges have threaded ports for pressure and temperature measurement. According to the data sheet, the single version is supplied with body insulation against heat loss. The circulator is installed with the motor shaft horizontal; the motor has built-in protection against overload, overheating and voltage fluctuations. Leave the mains connection to a qualified electrician.
