The DAB PULSAR 40/80 M-A AD (code PULSAR4080AD) is a set consisting of the PULSAR 40/80 M-A 5" submersible pump and a frequency converter. This multistage monobloc pump with a stainless-steel jacket is used for pressure boosting, water pumping, gardening and irrigation in family homes. The single-phase M-A version is automatic with a float.

Performance of the 40/80 model

At zero flow it reaches a head of 64 m, 48 m at 3.6 m³/h and 18 m at the maximum flow of 7.2 m³/h. The motor has a power input P1 of 1.6 kW and an output P2 of 1.1 kW (1.5 HP), with a rated current of 7.4 A. The frequency converter in the set adapts the pump speed to water demand.

Construction

• pump jacket, filter cover and outer casing in AISI 304 stainless steel; impellers, diffusers and suction filter in technopolymer
• pump end below the motor, motor cooled by the water flowing past, minimal non-pumpable residue
• double mechanical seal with oil chamber (ceramic–carbon on the motor side, silicon carbide on the pump side) – watertight even during brief dry running
• AISI 303 stainless-steel shaft in rolling bearings
• thermal and current protection and a permanently connected 25 µF capacitor in the single-phase version

Operating conditions

The pumped water must be clean, free of abrasive substances, at 0 to +40 °C and contain no more than 50 g/m³ of sand. The 138 mm diameter pump with a 1 1/4" outlet can be submerged to a maximum depth of 20 m and can run vertically or horizontally, fixed or portable. IP68 protection, class F insulation, no more than 20 starts per hour, 15 m H07RN-F cable. The pump is 630 mm high and weighs 18.5 kg. Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified person.
