The DAB.EVOPLUS B 180/250.40 M (code 60150969) is a wet-rotor circulator with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor whose speed is controlled by a frequency inverter. It belongs to the EVOPLUS range designed for larger heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems – apartment blocks and family houses, schools, hospitals or office buildings. This model is the single flanged version with a single-phase motor, DN 40 connection and 250 mm installation length.

Performance of the EVOPLUS B 180/250.40 M

The circulator delivers a head of up to 18 m and a flow of up to 25.65 m³/h, with a maximum power input P1 of 610 W. With an energy efficiency index EEI ≤ 0.20 it complies with the ErP Directive 2009/125/EC. The electronics continuously monitor hydraulic changes in the system, for example when individual branches open and close, and adjust the speed accordingly – the circuit receives the flow it needs without wasting energy.

Design

The pump body is made of cast iron and the impeller of technopolymer; the stainless steel shaft runs in ceramic bearings lubricated by the pumped liquid, and the motor housing is die-cast aluminium. The suction and discharge ports have threaded tappings for pressure and temperature measurement. A thermal insulation shell for the pump body is supplied – it reduces heat loss and condensation, so the circulator can also be used in chilled-water circuits where the fluid is colder than the surroundings. The motor needs no external protection: the electronics protect it against overload, overheating, phase loss and over- and undervoltage.

Installation and operating conditions

The circulator is always installed with the motor shaft horizontal; the control electronics must be in a vertical position and must not be insulated. The fluid must be clean, free of solid particles and mineral oils, with no more than 30% glycol and a temperature of −10 to +110 °C; the ambient temperature must not exceed 40 °C. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar, and at least 10 m water column at 90 °C, or 20 m at 110 °C, must be maintained on the suction side. DN 40 PN 10 counter flanges are not included and are available to order. The cast-iron version is not intended for drinking water. Electrical connection (1 × 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz) and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified professional.
