The external (remote) room temperature sensor extends the Vitotrol 200-E control unit with more accurate temperature measurement directly in the room where it is installed - particularly useful when the control unit itself is located somewhere that does not represent the actual temperature in the flat/house (e.g. in a hallway or utility room).

- How can I check that this sensor is compatible with my control unit? Follow the exact type designation of the control unit/boiler stated directly in this product's name - outdoor or room temperature sensors are generally not universally compatible across all brands.
- Why is it worth having an outdoor temperature sensor? It enables so-called weather-compensated operation - the boiler continuously adjusts the heating water temperature to the current outdoor temperature instead of heating to a fixed value, which increases comfort and reduces fuel consumption.
- Where is the outdoor temperature sensor mounted? On a shaded north- or north-west-facing wall, away from direct sunlight and other heat sources, so that it measures the actual outdoor temperature without distortion.
- Must the installation be carried out by a professional? Connecting the sensor to the terminal block of the control unit/boiler should be done by a service technician who is familiar with the wiring of the specific control unit.

Complete Viessmann product range
The complete Viessmann product range includes individual solutions with efficient systems and outputs from 1.5 to 120,000 kW for all application areas and all countries. These include wall-mounted condensing units with outputs from 1.9 to 150 kW and stationary condensing systems from 1.9 to 6,000 kW, as well as block combined heat and power units (BCHP) from 1.0 to 530 kWel respectively from 5.3 to 660 kWth. Block combined heat and power units (BCHP) are designed for natural gas/biogas.
The range of regenerative energy systems includes thermal solar systems with flat collectors and vacuum tube collectors for heating domestic hot water, supporting heating and solar cooling of buildings, special heating boilers and combustion units from 4 kW to 50 MW for pellets, heat pumps with outputs from 1.7 to 2,000 kW for the use of heat from the ground, groundwater and ambient air, as well as photovoltaic systems.
For district heating networks and biogas communities, Viessmann also offers everything from one source – from the first feasibility study and planning documents, through the supply of all necessary components such as biogas systems, heat sources, block combined heat and power units, underground heat pipes and apartment delivery stations, to construction and operation.
With an extensive range of temperature-controlled rooms, powerful cooling boxes and units, cooling solutions for food retail as well as accessories and services – the Viessmann group also covers the field of cooling.
