PNI SV100 is a simple kit that helps limit damage caused by water leaks. It consists of a water leak sensor, a water solenoid valve with a DN20 (3/4 inch) connection, and a power supply. When the sensor detects water, the valve closes the water supply to the system.
The valve closes and opens in approximately 5 seconds, withstands pressure up to 1.0 MPa (10 bar), and operates manually or automatically. It is powered by 5 V DC / 1 A, so it consumes very little energy; a 100–240 V AC power supply is included in the package.
The valve has an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and splashing water. It is suitable, for example, for use in a basement, garage, technical room, or behind a washing machine or dishwasher.
Installation and compatibility
The valve is mounted on a water pipe with a DN20 (3/4") thread. Place the sensor in a location where water would collect in the event of a leak, ideally on the floor next to the appliance. The dimensions of the valve are 95 × 63 × 67 mm. We recommend that installation on the water pipe be carried out by a plumber.
The kit helps reduce the consequences of a leak, but it does not replace regular inspection of the condition of pipes and appliances.
