PNI GD-01 is a gas detector for home use that monitors the air in the room and alerts you to the danger in case of a flammable gas leak. It reacts to LPG (propane-butane), natural gas, and coal gas; the alarm is triggered at a concentration level of 20% of the lower explosive limit (LEL).
It alerts you in two ways at once: with a sharp beeping sound and LED indicators on the front. In addition to the alarm, they also indicate other device statuses. The white housing with rounded edges fits well in the kitchen, boiler room, and garage.
The detector is sold separately, without an electric solenoid valve. It has a voltage output of 9 – 12 V DC, which sends an impulse in case of an alarm, and according to the manufacturer, it can be connected to the impulse electric solenoid valve PNI V-02, which then closes the gas supply. Installation and compatibility
The detector is powered from a 230 V AC socket, its power consumption is less than 1.7 W, and it operates at temperatures from −26 to +80 °C. Dimensions are 110 × 73 × 41 mm. Placement depends on the type of gas: natural gas is lighter than air, so the detector is placed higher, LPG is heavier and accumulates near the floor, so it is placed low. The detector itself does not interfere with the gas supply. However, the installation of an electric solenoid valve on the gas pipe must be carried out by a qualified person with professional competence in gas equipment.

Is an electric solenoid valve included in the packaging?
No. Only the detector and the manual are included. The electric solenoid valve is purchased separately.
Can the detector be used for carbon monoxide (CO)?
The manufacturer lists detection of LPG, natural gas, and coal gas. Do not use it as a standalone carbon monoxide alarm.
