Hornisse – electric heating cable 5.5 mm, length 25 m
Code: HO HCABLE/15-375Product detailed description
Hornisse HO HCable/15-375 is an electric heating cable with a length of 25 m intended for underfloor heating under screed. Its power is 375 W, at 230 V it draws 1.6 A and the cable resistance is 141.1 Ω. The linear power of 15 W/m and the twin-core construction with a diameter of 4.8 – 5.6 mm ensure even floor heating over the entire surface, while the cable itself remains completely invisible.
Within the HO HCable/15 range, it is between the 15 m and 40 m variants. The difference compared to them is in length, power, current, resistance and weight; insulation, diameter and supply cable remain the same.
Main Features
- Power 15 W/m: economical heating with reasonable energy consumption.
- Screed stores heat: concrete or anhydrite above the cable retains heat and the floor continues to emit it even after the heating is turned off.
- Even floor: no cold zones, with pleasant foot temperature.
- Appearance: the cable is not visible and does not affect the interior design.
- Durability: placement under the screed protects it from mechanical damage and external influences.
- Floor coverings: suitable under tiles, panels and carpets.
- Long service life: the system operates reliably with minimal maintenance and low costs.

Application
The cable is suitable for use in homes, apartments and commercial spaces. It is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and other areas where you want a warm floor. The manufacturer recommends it for auxiliary or main heating in well-insulated rooms, in new buildings as well as during renovations.
How the cable works
Current in the cable core generates heat, which is transferred to the screed. Concrete or anhydrite distributes it across the entire floor, so not only the areas where the cable lies are heated, but a continuous surface. With a length of 25 m and a power of 375 W, this variant is suitable for smaller floor areas; longer variants in the range are intended for larger rooms.
Installation and operation
The cable must be connected by a qualified electrician in accordance with current regulations. When laying the cable, make sure it does not cross or overlap, and do not bend it below a radius of 50 mm. The installation temperature must not be lower than 5 °C. Measure the resistance of 141.1 Ω before laying and after pouring the screed, and compare it with the manufacturer's data.
