PNI CT24 is an intelligent thermostatic head that is mounted directly on the radiator. It measures the air temperature in the room and adjusts the amount of water flowing through the radiator accordingly. It does not control the boiler, it only affects the flow through the specific radiator. Therefore, it is recommended to install one head on each radiator and set a desired temperature for each room. How quickly the room heats up depends on the boiler settings and the size of the radiator.

The head can be connected to the internet via a wireless router and controlled remotely in the Tuya Smart app. The package includes a set of 6 adapters, which allow it to be mounted on various thermostatic valves, for example Danfoss, Giacomini or Caleffi.

Programming and modes

For each day of the week, you can create up to 4 time slots and assign a specific temperature limit to each. This way you can adjust the schedule according to the time you leave or return home. An example of one day with four time slots: from 06:00 temperature 23 degrees, from 08:00 temperature 22 degrees, from 17:00 temperature 23 degrees and from 23:00 temperature 22 degrees.

From the app, you can also switch the operating mode: manual, scheduled, Full On or Full Off. The app includes an advanced settings menu with parameters for hysteresis, anti-frost temperature, child lock function, window open detection, reset and more.

Protective functions

If the child lock is enabled in the advanced settings, the head buttons will lock immediately after the display backlight turns off and the temperature cannot be changed by accidental touches. This function is available only in the mobile app.

The anti-frost function can be activated in the advanced settings or simply by turning off the thermostat (OFF mode). The room temperature is then maintained at 5 degrees throughout the time you are away from home.

When the window open detection (OWD) function is activated, the head turns off the heating if the room temperature suddenly drops, with the level of drop being adjustable. Such a drop occurs when a window or door is opened during boiler operation. The icon OP appears on the display and after 30 minutes, the device returns to the original mode.

Usage and installation

One head is needed for each radiator. Choose the adapter from the included set of 6 that matches the type of your thermostatic valve. The head is powered by four alkaline batteries, so no electrical wiring is required. After installation, connect it to a wireless router in the Tuya Smart app and set the temperature and program for the specific room.

Common questions

Does the PNI CT24 head control the boiler as well?

No. The thermostat measures the air temperature and adjusts only the water flow in the radiator it is mounted on. It does not control the boiler.

How many heads do I need?

It is recommended to have one head for each radiator so you can set the desired temperature separately for each room.

When does the head return to the original mode after opening the window?

If the window open detection (OWD) function is activated, the device returns to the original operating mode after 30 minutes.
