The Saswell KIT TRV system for radiators communicates with the boiler or other heat source over your home WiFi network and keeps the temperature steady in each room. A well-chosen programmable thermostat not only controls the temperature but also helps you save energy while you are away.
The Saswell KIT TRV radiator heating control set contains a transmitter (known as the gateway) and a receiver, four wireless WiFi heads, screw-locking adapters for connecting to radiators, as well as a mains adapter and AA alkaline batteries.
A designer transmitter takes charge of your radiators
The stylish programmable TRV controller was designed for independent control of radiators. The WiFi module stands out for its modern design, which will be appreciated not only by owners of contemporary homes. The transmitter, also known as the gateway, has three LED indicators on the front that show the status of the WiFi connection, the RF connection and the output.
Saswell KIT TRV lets you pair wireless thermostatic heads with the transmitter and, using an internet connection, control them through a mobile app. The app is available for both Android and iOS. Once it is installed, you need to register and connect to the device. All settings are made exclusively through the app, and detailed information on the procedure can be found in the enclosed instructions.
Temperature will not restrict where you place the transmitter either; it should be within the range of 0°C to 50°C. Both the transmitter and the receiver of the Saswell KIT TRV have a range of one hundred metres in open space and both have an IP21 protection rating. You can also connect a receiver and up to ten radiator heads to the transmitter.
An elegantly designed receiver with an antenna
The minimalist receiver in the Saswell KIT TRV set has an antenna and a power button on the front. When it is switched on, the LED indicators light up to show power, heating and the connection itself.
Under the rear cover of the receiver are the terminals for the electrical wiring. The cover is easily opened with a flat-head screwdriver. The receiver, which like the transmitter is mains-powered via the adapter supplied, is connected to the boiler with a two-core cable.
The app can be used to control a gas boiler as well as a solid fuel boiler. The receiver has an output for connecting the boiler, and also a 220 VAC electrical contact, suitable for connecting a pump, for example.
A smart thermostat for radiator heads
The smart radiator heads are compatible with the standard radiators sold in Slovakia. You can control them through the app, but manual operation using the buttons on the head is also possible. You can program times together with the desired temperature for each, and the heads allow several temperature changes to be set over the course of the day. The temperature can be set within a range of 5°C to 30°C, in steps of 0,5 °C.
The Saswell KIT TRV set comes with four radiator heads. If necessary, you can buy a further six and so expand the system to a total of ten.
