Is the building of your dream house nearing completion, with only a small step left before your home warms up nicely? To enjoy the warmth of your home to the full, you need to be able to set the heating level. That is what an electronic thermostat is for. It can communicate with the boiler or another heat source and keep a steady temperature in the room.
Before you decide to buy your first thermostat, think about which functions it should have. The range is wide: you can choose from simple manual thermostats right up to digital devices with many user-friendly features.
Proven Avansa models
If you favour simple devices and are happy with controlling the basic settings, choose from the range of manual thermostats. They are easy to use and even let you set both a heating and a night-time temperature. You cannot programme them, however, so changing the currently set temperature always requires you to step in “manually”.
One of the best-selling manual thermostats is the Avansa 2003. It is suitable for controlling most boilers sold in Slovakia and can be connected to a boiler or air-conditioning unit with an operating voltage of 24 to 230 V. An advantage of this thermostat is that the switching differential can be adjusted, which means the boiler will not cycle so often. Based on the switching sensitivity selected, it switches the boiler on when the temperature falls below the currently set value and switches it off again when the temperature rises above it. Its digital display also allows more accurate temperature measurement and setting of the required values.
If manual control suits you but you would like more convenience, choose the wireless version of the thermostat, the Avansa 2003TX. The device has two units: the first is the control unit (the thermostat itself) and the second switches the boiler. The units are linked by radio frequency, so there is no need to run a cable between the thermostat and the boiler. The radio signal has a range of up to 50 metres. The thermostat and receiver have their own security codes, so external signals will not interfere with their safe operation.
Euroster and Saswell - manual control for the more demanding
Do you favour simplicity but would like to save yourself the effort of constantly adjusting the temperature? The Euroster Q1 room thermostat with a daily programme makes that possible. It lets you programme up to two different temperatures during the day, with one automatic change at a precisely set time. What is more, with this model you will not need to worry about changing the batteries for up to 3 years. And when you do change them, there is no need to fear losing your data, as it stays in the device’s memory.

If a non-programmable thermostat suits you but you would welcome more functions, then the Saswell 919 is the right model for you. On its large backlit display the thermostat shows the required room temperature as well as the current one. It features a comfort mode with a higher temperature and an ECO mode with a lower set temperature. Another advantage is the PWM function, which prevents the room from being overheated, so the room temperature settles at the required value. The thermostat also includes automatic frost protection. Likewise, you need not worry about the settings being reset during a short power cut or when changing the batteries.
Both of the thermostats mentioned have a backlight and are connected to boilers with an ordinary two-core cable. ATRIA guarantees you quality and reliable operation throughout the long heating season.

If you have decided to buy a manual thermostat but are still considering which functions suit you best, do not hesitate to contact the experts at ATRIA, who know thermostats inside out. They will gladly advise you on more complex solutions too.
