I want to replace a Protherm KLZ 30 gas boiler located in the cellar with a condensing boiler with a hot water cylinder. The total heated area of the single-storey house is 150 m2, of which 70% is underfloor heating and 30% radiators. Please advise me which boiler and which manufacturer is the most reliable.

Good afternoon. First of all, you should choose a boiler from a manufacturer with service representation in Slovakia, so that spare parts are guaranteed even in ten years' time. For 150 square metres a 22 kW boiler would be enough; at the moment the best value is, for example, the junkers zsb 22 https://www.atria.sk/junkers-cerapursmart-zsb-22-3-c/. Have a nice day.

Good afternoon. I need to replace the boiler in a family house that has an old sealed gravity-fed radiator heating system. I am considering a wall-hung or floor-standing boiler with a hot water cylinder, or a condensing boiler. The house has 165 square metres and 3 split levels. Reliability and payback are the deciding factors, but so is the level of investment required.

Firstly, you should take advantage of the current special offers, and secondly, you should definitely choose a boiler whose manufacturer has official representation in Slovakia. So, for example, Junkers or Vaillant. For that size of heated area I would rather recommend a 24 kW boiler. https://www.atria.sk/kondenzacne-kotly/zostavy-kotol-a-zasobnik/

Good evening, we are about to replace a Protherm Turbo boiler in a 3-room flat after 17 years of operation. We live in a brick-built flat of 65 m2 in an uninsulated block of flats. We are considering a Junkers boiler, but cannot decide which type (condensing or conventional) and what output. We would like the boiler without a hot water cylinder. Kind regards.

Good afternoon, broadly speaking the most suitable type would definitely be a condensing boiler, but it also has to be said that it is better suited to underfloor heating, because the boiler has to work in a certain mode in order to be economical. If you are going to replace the radiators as well, have them sized for a condensing boiler.
