Underfloor heating manifolds are one of the components that keep your heating working properly and without trouble. They help make warm wooden floors and heated tiles a reality, so that you can enjoy walking around barefoot even in the depths of winter.
You will find the range in the stainless steel manifolds category, and the complete system in the underfloor heating category.

Why you should not neglect the choice of manifold
Manifolds are devices that mix and distribute the flow of water from the boiler to the underfloor heating. Beyond this primary function, however, they offer several further benefits.
Their greatest strength is the ability to regulate the water flow rate. This lets you adjust the individual underfloor heating circuits with ease and so achieve an even release of heat into the floor. Another advantage of manifolds is the balancing of the pipework when heating with radiators. Balancing compensates for the uneven distribution of flow rates in the installation caused by the height of the storeys, the length of the supply runs or the pressure losses of the components in the circuit. If the system is not balanced, energy consumption will be disproportionately higher. At the same time comfort suffers, because some areas remain under-heated while others are overheated.

The material and its properties
When choosing a manifold you also need to consider the material it is made of. You can choose between IVAR brass manifolds, with or without a pump, and German-made stainless steel manifolds.

Manifolds made of high-grade stainless steel meet the requirements of the German standard DIN EN 1264-4:2009-11. They can be used with all types of plastic pipe, including multilayer pipe, as well as copper. They are fitted with flow meters with a flow indicator and memory function, and with thermostatic control valves on every circuit. As a result, each heating circuit can be regulated independently.
If you plan to heat a larger floor area, or want to combine underfloor heating with conventional radiators, we recommend choosing a brass manifold with a pump.
Four-port stainless steel manifold for underfloor heating
Stainless steel manifolds, made of high-grade stainless steel, are intended primarily for underfloor heating. Every manifold is fitted with an automatic air vent and a rotating drain valve. The red flow meters on top of the manifold allow you to set the same water flow rate in each circuit. Beneath the blue plastic caps are valves that let you shut the manifold off. Removing the caps makes room for fitting an actuator driven by the heating controls. The manifold can also be fitted with a ball valve or a mixing unit, which is not, however, included in the package. With the mixing unit you separate off the hot water coming from the boiler and at the same time set the water for the underfloor heating to 50 degrees.
Four-port stainless steel manifolds for underfloor heating are fitted with double-regulating flow meters with a flow indicator and memory function. Thermostatic control valves are located on every circuit, so each heating circuit can be regulated independently. The manifolds are also available in versions with 2 to 12 ports (circuits) to suit the customer's requirements. The manifold is connected to the boiler by a female-thread connection. The individual pipes are connected using a three-quarter-inch universal compression fitting.

If you have decided on a German-quality stainless steel manifold, you will certainly not regret it. In the package you will find the brackets, the fixings and the manifold itself, which is very easy to assemble with its brackets.
