Can you imagine living in an unheated home? Most of us probably cannot. And although everyone has their own idea of comfortable warmth, you will certainly need a room thermostat to control it properly. It senses the temperature in the room and switches the heating on or off according to the temperature you have set. You can choose from a wide range of manual thermostats with conventional wiring, or you may prefer a wireless programmable thermostat.

The role of the thermostat in a heating system
Every heating system also includes a room thermostat, whose job is to sense the temperature in the room. Depending on whether the required temperature has been reached, it either switches the heating system off temporarily or, when the temperature drops, sends an electrical signal to the central heating boiler. The boiler then fires up and heats the water until it reaches the preset temperature in the boiler body. Once that temperature is reached, it is the thermostat's turn again: it switches on the power supply and starts the motor of the circulation pump. As a result, hot water circulates through your heating system until the desired temperature is reached.
The wireless thermostat and its advantages
Modern technology is making its mark on heating too. One example is the wireless programmable thermostat, which can be installed without chasing out walls to run lengths of cable. You can easily place it wherever you need it at the moment, or wherever suits you. A thermostat of this kind controls the heating temperature in the room it is currently in and acts as a transmitter at the same time. It is suitable for gas condensing boilers and electric heating mats, and you can also use it to control underfloor heating. On hot summer days you can even use it to control your air conditioning.

With the Euroster Q7 TX, heating becomes child's play
If you have decided on a wireless room thermostat, the Euroster Q7 TX model, controlling the heat in your home will be simple and convenient. The pack contains a receiver fitted with a pass-through socket rated at 230 volts and a thermostat with a stand.
The receiver, the Euroster RX, has to be connected to the boiler with a two-core cable. Its small display and 3 buttons on the front, together with the switch on the side, make it very easy to operate. The receiver also has a pass-through plug, so you can connect another appliance to it as well.

The modern, intelligent wireless thermostat Euroster Q7 TX offers several new and interesting functions. It lets you set up to nine different time periods for each day, with any temperature you like for each period. On the front of the thermostat there is a display, with a rotary dial around its outer edge and an OK button for easy operation.
