The IVAR.RAIN BASIC CU-10000 (code A520092, designation ELCU-10000 l) is a self-supporting underground tank made from a polyethylene monobloc and designed to retain rainwater. The collected water can be reused, for example, for toilet flushing, the washing machine, garden watering or cleaning. The tank is not suitable for drinking water. No pump is included – depending on how water is drawn off, a submersible pump or the IVAR suction kit for RAIN BASIC CU is added.

Installation and maintenance
Before installation, the hydrogeological and morphological characteristics of the site must be assessed. The pit needs at least 30 cm of free space around the tank (50 cm in clay soil), must be at least 1 m from buildings and needs a sand bed at least 15 cm thick at the bottom. Backfill with sand in layers of 15–20 cm while gradually filling the tank with water. The backfill above the top of the tank must not exceed 80 cm, and without a load-bearing reinforced concrete slab, vehicles must not pass closer than 2 m to the pit. Route the vent above the highest point of the building. Clean the filter inside the tank regularly, check the clarity and smell of the water and clean the whole tank every 5–10 years. Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.

Is a pump included?
No, the pump is not included. The tank comes with the upper extension, cover and internal filter fitted; the pump or suction kit is chosen separately, or you can opt for the RAIN BASIC CU KOMPLET kit.
