The IVAR.S-300 DN 40 boiler module (code IVA49043600) forms the unmixed branch of the boiler room: it delivers heating water from the heat source straight into the circuit without changing its temperature. It suits radiator heating, charging of domestic hot water cylinders and charging and discharging of buffer tanks in closed hot-water heating and cooling systems.

Module equipment

• flow and return pipes with DN 40 flanges for connection to the horizontal distribution manifold

• four wafer-type butterfly valves on the primary and secondary side
• check valve, two fill/drain valves and pressure ports
• two 0–120 °C thermometers on the secondary side and sensor pockets Ø 6 mm
• Trocellen C080 thermal insulation, 30 mm thick (λ 0.034 W/m·K)

Output and dimensions

At ΔT 20 K the module transfers up to 211 kW, at ΔT 5 K up to 53 kW; the maximum flow rate is 9100 l/h. Operating pressure is limited to 10 bar and temperature to +100 °C. The body is made of Fe EN 10217-1 steel with epoxy powder coating, the connection centre distance is 300 mm and the dimensions are 940 × 660 × 477 mm.

Installation

The module bolts directly onto the IVAR.HC-DN 40 manifold or via IVAR.CONNECTA reduction sets; bolts, nuts, washers and gaskets are included. From the factory the primary connection is on the right – by swapping the flow and return pipes and cutting the insulation as described in the manual, it can be moved to the left. Do not use mineral-oil lubricants on the EPDM seals. Installation of the module and fitting and wiring of the pump should be left to a qualified installer. The whole system must be flushed before first start-up.
