IVAR.SR2 copper flanged heating coil for IVAR.TANKS – flange Ø 290 mm (DN 200), L = 470 mm, 1.80 m²
Code: 4000608Product detailed description
Flanged heat exchanger for domestic hot water
The IVAR.SR2 is a spiral heating coil made of externally finned copper tube that is inserted into the tank through the flange opening. The SR version is tinned and therefore intended for heating water for human consumption; the untinned IVAR.SA series is for heating water. With 1.80 m² of surface at a length of 470 mm it suits water heaters and buffer tanks with a Ø 290 mm flange.
What is included
- perforated flange, flange cover and bolts
- 3/4" connection for the heating medium
- IVAR.KIT 500-5 dielectric insulation kit (code 4000698), which electrically separates the copper from the steel flange and the pipework
- weight 13.4 kg
Installation notes
The coil must be at least 10 cm shorter than the tank diameter. When inserting it, rest it on a plastic pad so that the copper does not damage the coating of the flange socket, then remove the pad. The plastic threaded spacers on the coil ends must not be removed, and the flow and return pipes must be firmly anchored before connection. The tank must be earthed whether or not an electric heater is fitted.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between IVAR.SR and IVAR.SA coils?
IVAR.SR coils are tinned and intended for heating water for human consumption. The untinned IVAR.SA coils are used for heating system water.
Which tank does the IVAR.SR2 fit?
A Ø 290 mm (DN 200) flange is required. The coil must be at least 10 cm shorter than the tank diameter, so at 470 mm length the tank needs a diameter of at least 570 mm.
What is the dielectric kit for and is it included?
The IVAR.KIT 500-5 kit electrically separates the copper coil from the steel flange and the pipes, protecting the tank against corrosion. According to the technical data sheet it is part of the coil; its plastic spacers must not be removed.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
